The mobility and ease of commissioning of the automated Sym-Wall® production plant provides an opportunity for third world and emerging economies to have localized capability to produce and apply Sym-Wall® technology for the build of low-cost housing and community buildings, not least in resource-deficient areas suffering natural disasters or military conflicts.
The concept of applying the local build methodology offers an important improvement in the response time normally seen in disaster situations. To achieve its ambition of localized construction capabilities SBT is evolving a “rapid response” method of global transportation of the production machinery and the commissioning of renewable-energy sourced operation as well as provision of on-site training and supervision of the locally engaged workforce.
